The first day of the SEMA Show 2016 was a success for the JDM Sport and Firm400 team as SEMA's 50th Anniversary Celebration was underway.

The performance company returned to the main stage at Central Hall unveiling their new line of performance parts and accessories including Neo-Chrome centered Wood Grain Steering Wheels, NEW and improved turbo chargers, turbo manifolds, and their Gold Series Catback Exhaust Systems. Our JDM Sport Vixens have been doing such a great job working the show! Great job ladies!

Being staged right across from Honda was a great location as JDM Sport featured one of their new sponsored builds from this season.

Ricky Dailey from @NoLove4Atlanta was our media correspondent interviewing attendees at SEMA 2016. Pictured above is Ricky interviewing Choi Durante, owner of the JDM Sport sponsored Honda Civic Si build from the east coast that was featured at their booth inside Central Hall.

Choi Durante's Honda Civic Si build from the east coast got trailered to the Las Vegas Convention Center and is now sitting pretty in the center of the JDM Sport Booth 25075 complimenting the Honda atmosphere in the back of Central Hall. Our FIrm400 Media Team has been proactive in covering this year's monumental 50th celebration for SEMA.

One of our sponsored drivers in motorsports came out to SEMA 2016. Firm400 Media Correspondent: Stephanie Rodriguez aka "@StephanieDrifts" stopped by our booth during SEMA Week and gave us insight on her experience using JDM Sport's Performance Parts & Accessories drifting in her pink Nissan S13 coupe.

Stephanie gave us her product knowledge in using JDM Sport's coilovers suspension, as well as drifting with their new wood grain series steering wheels and also giving her take on JDM Sport's NEW Gold Series Catback Exhaust Systems.

There was also additional performance catbacks with gold plated JDM Sport badging featured at the booth.

Its #TunerTuesday here at Firm400 and we are delighted to feature one of our very first product accessory installation tutorials! Our friends at JDM Sport have just released their NEW series of JDM Sport Valve Cover Washer Dress-Up Kits into the automotive aftermarket for Honda enthusiasts. We thought it would be awesome to capture stills of the installation process and share it with tuners who are looking to upgrade and accessorize their engine components with JDM Sport products. This feature can give our readers a better understanding of installing products and taking the necessary safety precautions as we look forward to producing more content for our automotive enthusiasts! The JDM Sport Valve Cover Washers are available for the Honda Civic B-Series, D-Series, & K-Series applications. In this tutorial, we are covering the installation for the Honda Civic B-Series.

Before the initial install, the most important thing is to make sure that your engine is completely cooled down! Considering you are removing the valve cover, spark plug wires, and additional hardware, your safety is very important so make sure you follow directions or seek a professional for assistance.

Necessary tools needed for the install:

Ratchet Set

Allen Key

Pliers

Gloves

Shop Rags

Here are the steps to installing your JDM Sport Honda Civic B-Series Valve Cover Washers:

1) Remove the four outer bolts that surround & hold the valve cover in place.

2) Remove the center bolts from the spark plug wire cover (if applicable)

3) Next, remove the spark plug wire cover & carefully remove and unplug the spark plug wires

4) Now remove the inner bolts that surround the spark plug wires & carefully remove the valve cover.

5) You can now safely unscrew the inner bolts that surrounded the spark plug wires and replace them with the JDM Sport replacement bolts/screws.

6) Repeat Step 5 only replacing the outer bolts/screws that were originally removed in Step 1.

7) Make sure all screws are properly tightened and secured.

SPECIFIED TORQUE:

8 x 1.25 mm

26 N-m (2.6 kg-m, 19 lb-ft)

8) Next, put the valve cover back in place. Make sure your spark plug wires are plugged in and tightly secured.

9) Now here's the fun part! Open the up the package of JDM Sport Honda Civic B-Series Valve Cover Washers which includes the rubber o-rings & screws.

10) Place the rubber o-rings on the outer back rim of each valve cover washer.

11) Get the larger valve cover washers and place them on the outer screws that were replaced from the valve cover. Tighten the washers with the screws that were included in the package.

12) You are almost done! The rest of the washers are to be placed in the center bolts of the valve cover alongside the spark plug wires where you had originally removed in the beginning of this tutorial. Tighten the screws to secure the washers and there you have it!

Your JDM Sport Honda Civic B-Series Valve Cover Washers are now installed! Congratulations!

Carshow & Motorsports Season is here as tuners prepare their builds for show and on the track. JDM Sport and Firm400 sponsored several drifters this season including two new female drifter girls into our JDM Family. One of our girls @StephanieDrifts took some time and made an awesome video on how to install JDM Sport's suspension on her ride. Checkout our sponsored drifter girl @StephanieDrifts as she gives us insight on how to install JDM Sport Coilovers on the front of her Pink Nissan 240sx S13 coupe. We broke it down for you step-by-step (From her video tutorial) on how to replace your front suspension and install JDM Sport Coilovers with Miss @StephanieDrifts:

Installing my front JDMSPORT Coilovers was fun and easy.  I was very impressed on not only how these came packaged but the quality as well.

I began by removing these JDM Sport Neo-Chrome Steel Lugnuts that are so cool!!

Once I removed my wheel, I moved my attention to the brake line.  The brake line is attached to the coilover by a small clip.  I grab my pliers and yank that little guy out!

Afterwards, I removed the two 17mm bolt and nut that connect the knuckle to the coilover as I hold on to the rotor so it doesn’t fall on me.

Once I remove the three 14mm nuts holding the old coilover…

Its out with the OLD and in with the NEW!

I hold on to the coilover with my left hand while I tighten the three 14mm nuts at the top.

Once that’s done, I connect the coilover back to the knuckle, attach the clip holding the brake line, put my wheel back on and Voila! My Front JDM Sport Coilovers are in.  All that was left to do was adjust the height and align my car.

I compared my old coilovers to the JDM Sport and the JDM Sport ones were 8lbs lighter. Also, I was able to run these coilovers at All Star Bash 2015, which is a drifting event here in SoCal, and they felt AWESOME. I am looking forward to running these coilovers for my 2016 competition season!

This build was right out in front of Central Hall where the green and black featured SEMA vehicle showcased its custom work. The announcement was made earlier this summer via StreetTechMag where Project: "Comet RDR5P62” would be making its appearance this year at the SEMA Show. The 1962 Mercury Comet Wagon is powered by a Ford 347 stroker featuring two 58mm ball-bearing turbos from Precision Turbo and Engine feeding a Holley twin-throttle body EFI system.

(JDM Sport Couplers Were Used For The Engine Build Of The Comet Wagon)

Air supply is handled through Burns Stainless tubing. An Aeromotive fuel system pumps the hi-octane fuel from the Summit Racing fuel cell. Inside the 347 cubic-inch engine is a set of forged SRP pistons, Scat forged H-beam rods and crank. The camshaft is a Comp Cams roller piece, driving the Magnum roller rockers bolted onto the RHS Pro Action heads. An Edelbrock dual-carb intake tops off the motor along with a set of custom PRW valve covers. Also the addition of JDM Sport couplers were utilized alongside the amazing engine build of the Comet Wagon. Thank you Jefferson for sharing with us your amazing build and we look forward to seeing more of your projects at next year’s SEMA Show.
